The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation, NHEF, has opened applications for the 2026 NHEF Professors Program. The programme is developed for Nigerian university professors and administrators. It is established to give participants the tools, strategic insight, and fresh teaching capability needed to compete globally, lead modification on campus, and improve student knowing results.
What the NHEF Professors Program covers NHEF provides the Faculty Program as a focused effort to develop management strength across Nigeria’s college sector. Through immersive workshops, applied analysis, and structured preparation, the program develops individuals in modern-day teaching methods, research-funding preparedness, systems-level thinking, management efficiency, and measurable outcomes on school. The aim is clear; participants are anticipated to return with ideas they can use.

The programme is open just to professor and administrators from NHEF partner universities:
- Ahmadu Bello University
- Bayero University
- University of Ibadan
- University of Lagos
- University of Nigeria
- University of Port Harcourt
What applicants must reveal
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
- management potential within their university
- strong understanding of higher education challenges at system level
- commitment to quantifiable reform within their university
- capacity for strategic thinking and execution
