The Sustainable Advancement Centre(SDC) at the University of Abuja( UNIABUJA)
invites applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 Batch A, Stream 8. Candidates who want postgraduate research study in sustainable development, environment and society, peace and dispute, or migration have doctorate, master’s and PGD paths to think about. The centre likewise lists full-time and part-time alternatives for its master’s and postgraduate diploma programmes.

UNIABUJA SDC admission requirements
Applicants need to satisfy the entry conditions set by the centre. The requirements cover O’Level outcomes, degree or diploma status, and NYSC evidence.
Prospects need five credit passes in pertinent O’Level topics, including English Language and Mathematics, at no more than 2 sittings.
For master’s research study, candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, with a grade not below Second-Class Honours Lower Division. For PGD admission, the centre might accept prospects with a Third-Class Degree or Higher National Diploma at Lower Credit from an identified school.
Applicants likewise require an NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
Doctor of Sustainable Advancement requirement
Prospects requesting the Physician of Sustainable Advancement must hold a Master’s Degree in pertinent fields of Science, Social and Management Science, Liberal Arts, Education, or Environmental Science.
The program runs for 36 months.
Period of UNIABUJA SDC programmes
The duration depends on the program level and research study mode. Full-time study takes a shorter period, while part-time research study provides candidates a longer scholastic window.
Master’s degree program
- Full-time: minimum of four semesters and maximum of six semesters
- Part-time: minimum of 6 semesters and maximum of 8 semesters
Postgraduate diploma programs
- Full-time: minimum of two terms and maximum of four terms
- Part-time: minimum of 4 semesters and optimum of six semesters
