
The University of Abuja has actually inducted 258 Bachelor of Education finishes into the mentor occupation following their effective licensing by the Educators Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The induction, which marked the 10th ceremony for the university’s Bachelor of Education program, formally confessed the graduates into Nigeria’s mentor workforce.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, commended the TRCN for its commitment to reinforcing the mentor occupation through effective policy and quality assurance.
Resolving the newly inducted instructors, Fawehinmi urged them to release their duties with humility and devotion.
“Never underestimate the influence you have on the lives of those you teach and other members of society,” the Vice-Chancellor advised.
The Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Dr. Ronke Soyombo, who was represented by Dr. Bimbo Okunola, administered the instructors’ oath and charged the inductees to accept lifelong learning while upholding the principles and values of the mentor profession.
Providing the induction lecture, Professor Jonathan Ikerionwu stressed the requirement for purposeful teaching, professionalism, ethical conduct, and the pursuit of quality in the 21st-century classroom.
The ceremony underscored the university’s dedication to producing professionally certified educators equipped to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s education sector.
