
The University of Lagos has commemorated the impactful tenure of its outbound Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research Study), Teacher Bola Oboh, as she concludes her four-year term in workplace.
The acknowledgment ceremony, hung on March 23, 2026, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, combined members of the university’s management group, who paid glowing tributes to Teacher Oboh’s management, commitment, and contributions to scholastic and research development within the institution.
In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Teacher Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, expressed deep appreciation for Professor Oboh’s service, explaining her as a courageous, principled, and caring leader whose tenure left a lasting institutional effect.
She noted that beyond finishing her tenure effectively, Professor Oboh made the regard and goodwill of coworkers through professionalism, resilience, and unwavering commitment to responsibility. According to her, the outbound DVC consistently showed strong leadership even in difficult moments.
Other members of the University Management also commended Professor Oboh for her vision and diligence, highlighting her role ahead of time the university’s scholastic requirements, enhancing research output, and maintaining governance structures.
Professor Oboh, who assumed office on March 28, 2022, is set to finish her tenure on March 27, 2026. Her time in office has actually been extensively associated with collective leadership and sustained institutional growth.
