The University of Abuja has announced the choice of Dr Muftau Mohammed, a Senior Speaker in the Department of Psychiatry, College of Health Sciences, for the 2026/2027 associate of the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

This was divulged in a declaration released by the university on Tuesday Might 26, 2026.

According to the statement, Dr Mohammed, who is also a Consultant Psychiatrist, was picked by the Governing Board of the fellowship programme after a highly competitive worldwide selection procedure.

The Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health program draws in multidisciplinary leaders and professionals from worldwide and focuses on advancing management, research study, and collaboration in brain health and dementia prevention equity.

“The fellowship will provide Dr Mohammed with chances for advanced research engagement and worldwide partnership with professionals and fellows in psychiatry, neuroscience, behavioural neurology, and global health equity,” the statement checked out.

Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Teacher Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, congratulated Dr Mohammed on behalf of the university management and wanted him success in the fellowship programme.
