The University of Abuja has actually carried out an orientation programme for more than 700 students newly admitted into the IJMB and Therapeutic programmes for the 2025/2026 scholastic session.
In a statement issued by the organization, the University stated the workout was organised by its School of Advanced Basic and Remedial Research studies to prepare the students for scholastic life and guide them on essential expectations within the University neighborhood.
The Vice-Chancellor, Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, who was represented by the Dean of Trainees Affairs, Simon Malang Kawe, prompted the trainees to stay disciplined and concentrated on their scholastic objectives.
“Admission into the University’s main programmes will depend upon meeting the required academic requirements,” he stated, encouraging the trainees to stay devoted to their research studies.
Previously, the Performing Director of the School, Angela Oboh, described that the orientation program was designed to guide trainees on essential problems that would affect their stay within the University.
“The orientation was organised to assist students on crucial problems impacting their stay within the University community,” she mentioned.
According to the University, the event united team member from important units of the institution to engage the students in conversations aimed at promoting discipline, awareness, and scholastic excellence.
The highlight of the program was a keynote lecture entitled “The Impact of Peer Group Pressure on the Nigerian Kid,” delivered by Otaki Osana Alanana of the Department of Sociology.
