am unless mentioned otherwise The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Teacher Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, on behalf of the Council, Senate, and the University Community, has revealed the schedule for the 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremony. The programme will run from Friday, 10 April to Saturday, 18 April 2026. It will include the award of First Degrees, Higher Degrees, and the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees.
The University specified that all significant ceremonies will occur at the University Convocation Square, Main Campus, starting at 10:00 am daily, unless mentioned otherwise.

The day opens with tree planting by the finest graduating trainees. That event will take place at the Professors of Law Road by 10:00 am.
The Environment Change Lecture will follow at 11:00 am. Its topic is “Carbon Credits from Tree Planting: Opportunities and Obstacles for Nigeria’s Climate Goals”. Omoteniaye Majekodunmi will deliver the lecture.
Later in the day, the Department of Theatre Arts will stage the convocation play at the Professors of Law Lecture Theatre by 4:00 pm.

The convocation lecture is set up for 11:00 am at the Professors of Law Lecture Theatre. The lecture is titled “Finishing into an AI Powered Fintech World: Opportunities, Difficulties and Duties”. The guest speaker is Olugbenga Agboola, OON, Chief Executive Officer of Flutterwave.

The convocation event for the award of First Degrees will hold at the Convocation Square by 10:00 am. Later on that day, the Chancellor’s Dinner will happen at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, by 6:00 pm.
Saturday, 18 April 2026
The ceremony for the award of Greater Degrees and the conferment of Honorary Degrees will hold at the Convocation Square by 10:00 am.
