
The Universal Basic Education Commission(UBEC ), in partnership with the FCT Universal Basic Education Board (FCT-UBEB), has actually officially flagged off the distribution of instructional materials to public standard schools in the Federal Capital Area.
The initiative forms part of an across the country effort to reinforce fundamental education delivery and improve access, equity, and quality of learning throughout Nigeria.
According to UBEC, the programme will see the deployment of over 7 million core books, together with thousands of supplementary learning products such as exercise books and writing tools to support efficient teaching and learning in class.
In addition, the intervention consists of the distribution of more than 40 interactive SMART boards and over 30 desktop targeted at enhancing digital knowing in schools.
The Commission kept in mind that the initiative builds on broader nationwide accomplishments in the standard education sector, consisting of the circulation of over 400,000 teaching and finding out products, targeted interventions for out-of-school kids, and continuous teacher capacity-building programmes that have trained more than 500 educators.
