The afternoon opened with the Kids Run over 600 meters. Over 60 highly passionate children participated– cheered on by their parents as well as trainees and staff. Huge caterpillar wins costume contest
Apart from the sporting achievements, the lots of runners in fancy dress created an enjoyable environment along the route. The reward for the best costume went to a giant caterpillar with seven heads, which delighted both the audience and the individuals.
Teacher Manfred Bayer, President of TU Dortmund University, and Sina Diekmann (Chief Sports Officer of the World University Games 2025) provided the starting signal for the primary 10K run, which professional athletes from TU Dortmund University once again dominated. Lara Kiene, a student at TU Dortmund University, won the females’s race by a long shot. In the males’s race, Lorenz Rix had the ability to celebrate his second success– in an energetic sprint to the finishing line, he narrowly beat Jonas Schmitz from RWTH Aachen University to protect his second title.
