Northwest University, Kano, has actually revealed that registration for the 2025/2026 academic session will start on Monday, 23 March 2026 and
end on Saturday, 26 April 2026. All newly confessed trainees are expected to follow a four-stage process to finish their documentation. The actions cover professors screening, medicals, portal registration, course registration, and final clearance; each stage has its own task.
Table of contents Registration dates The registration exercise will run from Monday, 23 March 2026 to Saturday, 26 April 2026. Prospects who do not appear within this duration will be considered not thinking about the admission.
Phase 1: Faculty screening and medicals
The very first stage starts at the professors level.
Credential screening
Students are to visit their respective faculties for screening of O’level credentials and JAMB UTME subjects.
Medical certificate
Trainees are likewise to continue to the University Center for their Medical Certificate. This will be based on dates assigned to each professors.
Stage 2: Portal registration and payments
The 2nd phase covers portal gain access to, payment, and professors documents.
Portal access
Students are to go to the University Portal and click on “New Registration”.
Billing and payment
They are to print the payment billing and pay the registration charges through NABROLL.
Payment invoice
After payment, students are to return to the portal and print the main Payment Receipt.
Professors documents
Trainees are then to go back to their Professors registration point with these files:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- Approval Form
- qualifications for screening and documents
Phase 3: Course registration
The third phase covers course registration for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
UTME trainees
UTME students are to access the University Website and print their Course Registration Type, CRF.
Direct Entry students
Direct Entry prospects are to go to their department to copy their courses and credit loads for upload on the website.
Authentication
After the upload, students are to go back to the website for final course registration and fulfill their Level Planner for authentication of the CRF.
Stage 4: Final documents and ID card
The last stage transfers to last records and trainee services.
Directorate of DEAR
Students are to visit the Directorate for paperwork with all noted registration files.
Trainee Affairs
They are to proceed to the Trainee Affairs Division for their ID Card.
University Library
They are also to complete registration at the University Library.
Files required at DEAR
Prospects are needed to come to the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records, DEAR, with originals and 4 copies of all qualifications.
The listed files are:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- Original ‘A’ level declaration of result(s) for DE prospects
- Original ‘O’ level declaration of outcome(s) for both UTME and DE candidates
- Records of Academic Records for Ordinary Diploma and National Diploma prospects
- Original Primary School Leaving Certificate or Testimonial
- Original Birth Certificate or Statement of Age
- Initial Indigene Recognition Certificate or Attestation
- Appropriately completed undertaking type
- 2 current passport-size photographs with white background
- Duly completed candidate Screening type
- Letter of Referral
- Medical Certificate
- Bio-data form
- Acceptance Verification letter
Students are also told to upload the exact same passport photo to the Registration Website for the ID Card.
Notes for prospects
Prospects need to come to the screening point with both originals and copies of all listed files.
The screening workout begins on Monday, 23 March 2026 and ends on Saturday, 26 April 2026.
Prospects whose original O’Level certificates are not readily available at the time of screening may present an initial online hard copy result slip.
What new students must bear in mind
The process is clear, though it has many actions; each confessed trainee is anticipated to move from Professors screening to medicals, then Portal payment, then course registration, and finally DEAR paperwork, Student Affairs, and Library registration.
Every Paper matters here. Missing out on the dates or appearing without the required records can affect the process.
