The scholarship is moneyed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and supports students pursuing Master’s degrees, PhD programs, research, and advanced courses in Italian language and culture at acknowledged institutions in Italy.
Chosen applicants will get a EUR9,000 grant, in addition to tuition support and medical insurance.

Requirements
To request the Italian Federal Government Scholarship 2026/27, candidates must:
- Be a global student or an Italian person living abroad
- Apply through the Study in Italy website
- Have a valid passport or identity document
- Hold the needed scholastic credentials for the picked program in Italy
- Age Limits
- Master’s/ AFAM/ Italian Language & Culture Courses: Need To not be above 28 years
- PhD Applicants: Need To not be above 30 years
- Research Applicants: Should not be above 40 years
