There are more than one million young carers in the UK– with an average age of 12– which is the equivalent of 2 kids in every school class. Do they feel supported? In Walthamstow, east London, we fulfill a group of carers as they are gathered for an unusual night off that brings a sense of neighborhood and a glance of enjoyable for a few hours every couple of weeks. It’s hosted by Satvinder, a tenacious council employee who fights to improve the recognition of young carers in her borough and offers them important emotional assistance.

This film is launched throughout Carers Week in the UK, a project that celebrates overdue carers across the country and calls for much better recognition and assistance for them.
