The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has dismissed distributing reports suggesting that the Aliko Dangote Ultra-Modern Abilities Acquisition Centre is not in usage, affirming that the center remains completely functional and actively taken part in training Nigerian youths.

In a press statement issued on April 1, 2026, the Ministry clarified that the centre is currently functioning under its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET II– CONCEPTS) Program, where numerous trainees are acquiring practical abilities.

According to the Ministry, no less than 300 students have been undergoing structured training at the facility since November 2025 in key locations such as leather works, solar photovoltaic (PV) installation, and hospitality. The programme is also supported with funding tranches, while recipients receive month-to-month stipends to help their participation.

To validate the claims circulating online, a delegation mandated by the 8th National Council on Abilities conducted an on-the-spot assessment see to the centre on March 30, 2026. The group verified that all students were actively engaged and that training activities were progressing as set up.

The Ministry further disclosed that African industrialist Aliko Dangote has committed to handling the facility for the next 20 years, with plans to expand its capacity to accommodate more trainees.

Declaring its position, the Ministry prompted the general public to overlook deceptive reports and rely just on confirmed main sources, while repeating its commitment to enhancing abilities advancement through premium training centres across the nation.

“The Centre is fully operational under the TVET II– IDEAS Programme, with students actively took part in Leather Functions, Solar PV Installation, and Hospitality. We urge the public to ignore false information and count on main sources,” the Ministry mentioned.
