Considering that 2013, the EPS has annually honored two female physicists with the Emmy Noether Award– acknowledging exceptional achievements in research, teaching, and science interaction while serving as role models to influence women to pursue careers in science. For instance, in 2014 the award was presented to the French– Swedish physicist Teacher Anne L’Huillier, who was later on honored with the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2023. Doris Reiter has been at TU Dortmund University because 2022, leading an independent research group in theoretical condensed matter physics as an adjunct teacher.
