The notice states that essays might approach the style from any angle, but each entry needs to specify, well-researched, and grounded in Nigeria’s truths.
Essay format and submission guidelines
BBYDI listed the submission rules in clear terms. Essays should meet these conditions:
- Word count: 1,200 to 1,500 words
- Language: English
- Typeface: Times New Roman
- Font style size: 12pt
- Spacing: double-spaced
That format matters; entries that miss the specified frame may fall outside the competition guidelines.
AI usage policy
Individuals may use AI tools to support research study and concept development. The last essay, however, need to show the writer’s own voice, argument, and analysis. BBYDI added that essays which appear completely AI-generated without meaningful individual input will be disqualified.
That guideline draws a sharp line. Research assistance is allowed; the last thinking and composing must still come from the trainee.
