AKTH Post Basic Nursing admission requirements
An applicant should fulfill the following conditions:
Registered Nurse status and licence
The candidate must be a Registered Nurse with a present practising licence acquired from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
O’Level subject requirements
The candidate must have at least five O’Level credit passes in no greater than two sittings. The necessary subjects are:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Biology
- Chemistry
The accepted evaluation bodies are GCE, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS.
NABTEB and NBAIS are not combinable with any other evaluation such as WAEC or NECO. A combination of WAEC and NECO, or NECO and WAEC, is accepted.
Work experience
The applicant must have at least one year post-qualification experience, preferably in a severe care setting.
