
The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has actually revealed the opening of applications for the second cohort of the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme.
In a statement shared on his authorities X account on Monday, April 13, 2026, the minister explained the initiative as a key part of human capital development under the Restored Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, the programme taped enormous interest throughout its first phase, with over 1.3 million Nigerians using, a figure he stated reflects the growing need for useful, skills-based education throughout the country.
He announced that the application website will open at 4:00 p.m. (WAT) today, urging Nigerians of any ages with a desire to construct sustainable livelihoods to make the most of the opportunity.
“Today marks the opening of applications for the second cohort of our National TVET Programme, a crucial step in advancing human capital advancement under the Restored Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” he said.
He further encouraged potential applicants to welcome employment training as a pathway to self-reliance and financial empowerment, adding that the effort is developed to assist people “develop your own future” through ability acquisition.
