
Oregon Tech Partners with Google Public Sector to Advance Trainee and Faculty Research
Oregon Institute of Technology recently announced it is teaming up with Google Public Sector to carry out Google Cloud’s AI and high-performance computing throughout the organization. The partnership aims to speed up student and faculty research study, expand computing capacity, and provide scientists with AI tools to improve their work.
Oregon Tech faculty and students deal with grant-funded research study initiatives across various disciplines, including tasks focused on rural healthcare workforce advancement, energy solutions, and used computing, the university said in a news announcement. Scientists will now gain access to Google Cloud’s sophisticated computing facilities and resources, consisting of graphics processing systems, tensor processing units, AI tools, and specialized datasets.
“This partnership develops on the innovation principles at Oregon Tech,” stated Dr. Nagi Naganathan, president of Oregon Tech, in a statement. “Our professors and trainees are associated with a number of applied research study and development tasks at any given time, but the size of our facilities limits the capability to find and line up with new chances. This collective effort will assist connect our remarkable researchers with additional opportunities and accelerate our ability to drive development that causes real-world services. In turn, we support sophisticated workforce advancement for our industry partners.”
