The Federal Government has actually heightened efforts to operationalise the National Research study and Innovation Advancement Fund (NRIDF) following its recent approval by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), with key authorities fulfilling to advance the legal structure for its execution.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, disclosed that he held a tactical meeting with the Special Consultant to the President on Policy and Coordination, Mrs. Hadiza Bala Usman, and the Minister of Development, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN), to talk about the next phase of the initiative.

According to Alausa, the conference focused on drafting the Executive Bill that will establish the legal and governance framework for the Fund, paving the way for its effective operation as a sustainable national platform for funding research study, development and the commercialisation of ideas.

Alausa explained the effort as a landmark step in Nigeria’s mission for scholastic, scientific and technological improvement.

It is an investment in Nigeria’s future and a long lasting legacy that will empower generations of scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs to resolve our nation’s greatest difficulties, unlock brand-new chances and position Nigeria as an international leader in research study and development,” Alausa included.

He also applauded Hadiza Bala Usman and Udeh for their collaboration and dedication to the successful application of the initiative, expressing self-confidence that the partnership would help advance the Renewed Hope Program through innovation-driven nationwide advancement.
