
An insurance awareness campaign organised by Favourite Teacher Edu Structure in cooperation with Knowledge International School of Excellence (WISE), with knowing and teaching chances from Heirs Insurance Group, has educated students, parents and homeowners of Tudun-Wada Neighborhood in Lugbe, Abuja, on the importance of insurance coverage and financial preparedness.
The campaign, which began with an interactive session at the school’s assembly ground before extending into the surrounding community, aimed to promote financial literacy and encourage individuals to welcome insurance coverage as a means of securing themselves versus unexpected circumstances.
Speaking throughout the occasion, the campaign planner described insurance as a financial investment in financial security instead of an expenditure, urging participants to embrace a culture of preparing instead of awaiting emergency situations before seeking protection.
The sensitisation covered the fundamentals of insurance, including its significance, benefits, various categories and the requirement for individuals to safeguard their health, lives, residential or commercial property and future. Individuals were presented to different insurance coverage products, consisting of health, life, motor, property, education, fire, agricultural and travel insurance coverage.
As part of the outreach, trainees and instructors started an awareness walk through the streets of Tudun-Wada, distributing instructional products and engaging citizens on the benefits of insurance. The exercise brought in parents, traders and other members of the community, a lot of whom looked for explanation on insurance coverage and their significance to everyday life.
Some students explained the project as enlightening, keeping in mind that it altered their perception of insurance coverage and helped them realise it is available to everyone, no matter social or financial status. They likewise called for similar efforts to be held routinely to improve financial literacy amongst youths.
Moms and dads applauded the organisers for the effort, describing it as prompt and impactful. One parent said the program offered practical knowledge that would help families make much better financial choices.
Community members likewise praised the outreach. A trader in Tudun-Wada said the project enhanced her understanding of health insurance and its role in minimizing the financial burden of medical emergency situations.
The organisers stated the effort was developed to empower trainees, inform moms and dads and raise public awareness of insurance coverage as a vital tool for financial security, including that broadening insurance coverage education throughout Nigeria would help develop more informed and financially durable communities.
