Suspected Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists on Monday attacked Federal government Day Secondary School in Lassa, Askira/Uba City Government Location of Borno State, kidnaping an undefined number of students who were sitting for the National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations.

According to reports, the insurgents stormed the school at about 9:00 a.m., firing sporadically into the air and causing panic amongst students and staff before blending away an unknown variety of prospects into the bush.
