
The Federal Government has actually revealed the Digital National Education Management Information System (DNEMIS), a new technology-driven platform created to create a merged database of every school, student and teacher in Nigeria, with the objective of enhancing education preparation, openness, accountability and service shipment.

The announcement was made during a pre-launch media briefing in Abuja by the National Job Organizer of the Special Programmes Operations and Execution Unit in the Office of the Minister of Education, Mr. Adebayo Onigbanjo.
According to Onigbanjo, DNEMIS was developed to attend to years of fragmented, inconsistent and unreliable education information that have hindered reliable preparation, policymaking, monitoring and governance in Nigeria’s education sector.
