What do you like a lot of about your task?

Seeing trainees’ lives alter in real time. There’s absolutely nothing much better than watching somebody gain self-confidence, perspective and instructions through a global experience.

Describe a task or initiative you’re currently dealing with that thrills you.

We’re building an AI-powered platform that helps trainees discover and access worldwide knowing opportunities in a lot more customised way. It’s amazing because it’s not practically technology. It’s about broadening access and making these experiences possible for more trainees.

What’s a piece of work you’re proud of– and what did it teach you?

Growing our scholarship efforts. It taught me that gain access to is whatever. Talent is all over, however opportunity isn’t. If we can close that gap, we change lives at scale.

What’s a little everyday habit that assists you in your work?

Starting the day by prioritising people over jobs. Quick check-ins, a note of gratitude, or simply existing. It sets the tone for everything else.

What’s one change you want to see in your sector over the next few years?

A more visible connection between global experiences and profession outcomes. Students (and families) must clearly see how these experiences translate into real-world opportunities. In addition, because our research so clearly shows the high effect nature of these experiences, all trainees should have access to them (vs the tiny percentage who generally do). This idea is at the core of our objective at API.

What idea, book, podcast or discussion has stuck with you just recently?

The concept that AI should expand human potential, not change it. The most effective use cases I’m seeing are the ones that make individuals more capable, not less involved.

What’s one piece of suggestions you ‘d offer to someone starting out in this field?

Stay curious and say yes to experiences that press you out of your comfort zone. That’s where the genuine growth takes place.
