ECA, which is moving towards global school shipment models as it enters its third years in international education, will support Birkbeck’s India campus operations as the institute seeks to “offer trainees direct exposure to international service environments”.
The collaboration was formally marked by a launch and signing event participated in by senior figures including Dr Vineet Joshi, chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) and UK high commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, along with Birkbeck vice-chancellor Sally Wheeler.

With around 20 universities now opening or planning branch campuses in India– especially from the UK and Australia– ECA introduced a new division, UniQuad, in 2015 aimed at developing “advanced” education hubs across cities including Bengaluru, Delhi and Ahmedabad, providing Indian students access to worldwide identified courses, credentials and profession paths.
