    2026 Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition Opens for Entries

    Applications are now open for the 2026 Resident Entrepreneurship Competition. The programme combines a worldwide neighborhood around entrepreneurship and provides entrants a chance to present concepts and options for today’s challenges.

    The Resident Entrepreneurship Competitors, also called CEC, is aimed especially at young business owners. It supports them as they develop concepts for a more peaceful and sustainable world; entrants are encouraged to construct ideas with social impact and connect them to one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

    Who can apply

    The competitors invites entrepreneurs from age 13 and up. Those who fulfill that age mark can send a concept and take part in the 2026 edition.

    What individuals are anticipated to do

    Applicants are asked to submit a brief pitch. That pitch is reviewed against the competition requirements.

    Participants must also complete the “Brains versus Capital” and “Sustainable Entrepreneurship” courses, then complete the Entrepreneurial Style Canvas, called the EDC.

    When all requirements are met, the concept can progress for voting.

    The three competition phases

    The competitors runs in three phases.

    1. Concept submission and entrepreneurial design

    Participants submit a brief pitch in the control panel under “My idea/project”. The pitch is examined against the set requirements. Entrants likewise complete the needed courses and submit the EDC.

    2. Voting

    All ideas are published, and individuals can collect votes while supporting one another.

    Concepts that finish both courses and fully finish the EDC will move into the Ballot Stage automatically and will be published on the general public site.

    3. Jury choice

    The ten submissions with the most votes will go to the final stage. A specialist jury will examine them and pick the winners.

    2 March 2026

    The 2026 Citizen Entrepreneurship Competitors opens.

    From this date, participants can submit an idea as a pitch in the control panel under “My idea/project”.

    4 May 2026

    This is the last day for submissions.

    It is likewise the last day to complete both the “Brains versus Capital” and “Sustainable Entrepreneurship” courses, along with the Entrepreneurial Style Canvas.

    The organisers specify that late evaluation may affect a pitch if it is submitted too close to the deadline; candidates may also waste time required to fulfill the competitors requirements. They also ask participants to submit the concept for voting. As soon as the full requirements are met, the voting button will appear directly in the idea entry.

    5 May 2026

    The Voting Stage starts.

    All concepts that have finished both courses and the complete EDC will move into voting automatically and appear on the general public website.

    5 June 2026

    The Ballot Phase ends.

    Participants still have the entire day to gather votes. At midnight, voting closes and no additional votes can be cast. After that, the organisers will examine the votes collected and announce the finalists as soon as possible.

    The organisers also mention that any form of manipulation or fraud throughout voting will be kept an eye on carefully. Void or fake votes will be removed. In severe cases, a participant may be disqualified. Fair and transparent ballot stays part of the process.

    6 June to 22 June 2026

    Votes will be evaluated, and the jury will examine the final entries.

    23 June 2026

    The winners will be announced.

    The leading 10 submissions with the most votes will advance to the finals. At that stage, the expert jury will award points based on entrepreneurial vision, feasibility, management, social effect, and sustainability. The winners will then be revealed on the blog site.
