Rubrik Representative Cloud Broadens Policy Controls for Agent Prompts/Responses
Rubrik has announced the general availability of Rubrik Agent Cloud, explaining it as a layer in between business applications, AI representatives, and the underlying big language models, aimed at bringing tracking, governance, and removal controls to representative operations.
Governance Focus on Inputs and Outputs
A Rubrik spokesperson highlighted broadened governance in the GA offering, explaining policy enforcement that uses to both what enters into agents (triggers) and what comes out of them (actions and tool calls). The representative highlighted 2 courses: predefined policies that can be used immediately and customized policies that companies can define in natural language, with Rubrik little language models helping impose those policies dynamically on representative interactions.
” Governance requires to move from paper to practice,” the business said. “Rubrik Representative Cloud gives you the tools to enforce policies on both the inputs (triggers) and outputs (actions and tool calls) of your agents.
- Predefined Policies: Start right away with out-of-the-box guardrails, such as PII detection.”
- Custom Policies: Specify your own unique policies utilizing natural language. Our little language designs will help impose these dynamically on representative interactions.”

The company presented Rubrik Representative Cloud in October with minimal early gain access to, positioning it as a business offering to assist companies embrace AI representatives at scale with controls for observability, governance, and remediation. Rubrik’s initial October statement explained the initial feature set in 3 classifications: Representative Display, Agent Govern, and Representative Remediate. In that launch description, Rubrik said Representative Screen would auto-discover and map representatives throughout several home builders and platforms and maintain immutable audit trails; Representative Govern would define and enforce behavior, gain access to, and action policies in real time; and Agent Remediate would extend Agent Rewind for rollback of agent-driven changes.
What Rubrik Is Stressing in the GA Release
In the GA release, Rubrik frames the governance issue as moving beyond process-only controls and into enforcement that can run in real time, alongside tracking and removal. The GA statement describes three pillars: constant monitoring and observability, governance, and removal, consisting of a rollback-oriented capability connected to Rubrik Representative Rewind.
On monitoring and observability, Rubrik says the platform scans an environment to develop a representative inventory and provide discovery, threat profiling, and presence into what tools and data agents are accessing. On remediation, Rubrik ties Rubrik Representative Rewind to healing workflows intended to help companies associate a representative action with a previous healthy picture to recover from errors.
