
GUSAU, ZAMFARA STATE— Guv Dauda Lawal has approved the establishment of a practical FM Radio station at the Zamfara State College of Arts and Science (ZACAS), Gusau.
The initiative, described as a historical intervention, intends to change the organization into a premier training hub for aspiring broadcasters and reporters in Northern Nigeria.
The Head of the Mass Interaction Department (HOD), Suleiman Umar Dansadau, lauded the Governor’s choice, noting that the facility represents a golden chance for students to transition from theoretical finding out to professional market practice.
The Guv has actually approved the amount of 13.5 million naira particularly for the procurement of modern FM transmission devices.
Most importantly, the funding also covers the necessary registration and licensing charges required by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), guaranteeing the station runs within the legal structure of Nigerian broadcasting.
