The NEPL/OERNL Joint Venture, through Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, has actually opened applications for the 2026/2027 Tertiary Scholarship Plan.
The award becomes part of the company’s Business Social Responsibility efforts to promote higher education amongst Nigerian undergraduate trainees. The message is clear; eligible students need to act within the specified window.

Scholarship classifications
The plan has 2 award classifications.
Host/Transit Communities Benefit Award
This category is for students from Oando’s host or transit communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States.
National Merit Award
This classification is for trainees from across Nigeria outside the host neighborhoods.
Who can use
The scholarship is open to:
- signed up full-time undergrads in Nigerian tertiary institutions
- certified 100-level students at the time of application
Who is not qualified
The scheme is not open to:
- students in 200 level and above
- existing beneficiaries of similar scholarships from other companies or companies
- dependants of staff of Oando PLC and its subsidiaries
That requirement is direct; candidates require to examine each point before they begin the form.
Documents needed for the application
Applicants need to sign up and upload scanned copies of the required files.
The files listed are:
- current passport picture with white background
- school ID card
- O’Level certificate and admission letter
- birth certificate and evidence of local government area of origin
- letter from community leaders for host community candidates
- JAMB outcome, compliance type and other supporting files
Choice process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online ability test.
Candidates need to score at least 50% to be considered for the scholarship. Only shortlisted candidates will be gotten in touch with for additional communication.
